Cool web site alert The Beebs' Ancient History page has links to various (internal) pages on several aspects of prehistory. It mostly focusses on Britain, but there are a bunch of good articles in it. We especially liked the Hieroglyphic postcards section and the various games throughout. Also, read through The Fall of the Egyptian Old Kingdom by Fekri Hassan. The Old Kingdom (OK) is generally not as well-studied or gets as much public attention (save for the pyramids and sphinx) as later periods (speficially the New Kingdom), but it is worth a look.
