"Egypt's New Tomb Revealed" On Discovery Channel.

I thought I'd posted this last week, but that post got killed in the Great Wonkiness that overtook both Blogger.com and my stupid $&@*%@% machine at one point last week.

I watched the first couple segments of this last night and will get to the rest tonight. I agree with Mark Rose over at Archaeology.com that is seems to have been an excellent program, certainly much better than some of the ones that have been put out recently. They didn't go over-dramatic with the implications of the discovery, didn't do a bunch of goofy reenactments involving modern overweight Egyptians in loincloths, and were pretty about letting the archaeologists do their usual fairly circumspect talking. I've met most of the particulars -- Monsour Boraik, Otto, Ted "The Sledge" Brock -- and they came across pretty much like they do in person.

And, of course, Salima Ikram. She astounds as usual.

So, catch it if you didn't the next time it runs.
