7 new wonders of the world update

Eh, I'm largely unimpressed. Seemed to be mostly a popularity contest (well, it was intrinsically a popularity contest), nothing that really says anything. Any true "wonder" needs to be an engineering/building marvel, not just something that's cool looking. I would only put Machu Picchu and the Great Wall on it. The others, while certainly impressive, don't seem to have required any real extraordinary feats of planning and/or mobilization of resources.
I mean, Petra is cool and all, but Ellora, India is far more impressive as a city/temple carved out of solid rock. I also think the Channel Tunnel is eminently worthy of Wonder status.
