Cool (semi-)non-archaeological web site update I just perused a bit of the USC Digital Archive site. Via Patterico, who highlighted the Examiner collection. I searched on 'archaeology' but only found one photo (a Viking ship), but there are others of some archaeological interest. I searched for 'La Brea' as well, and there are a few of the tar pits -- one of a guy covered in tar who had gone in to rescue a dog (successfully!). Also a neat stratigraphic section from 1938 for the geology around the pits.
