Yay for us Digging into Marco’s past

Thank goodness there are people who still care deeply about our past in Southwest Florida.

Despite the noontime heat and sun.

And the mud and muck.

In a place that we think of as almost entirely new and covered with buildings and concrete, volunteer archaeologists on Marco Island are sifting through pile after pile of dirt in a quest for clues to the past.
